The Solsheet GR Self-Adhesive Membrane is a 1.5 mm cold-applied waterproofing and gas-resistant sheet for substructures, slabs and retaining walls where protection against Radon, Methane, CO₂ and hydrocarbon vapours is required. It combines an aluminium and cross-oriented HDPE backing with a rubber-modified bitumen adhesive to deliver robust barrier performance and reliable site handling. The system is designed to be primed with Solseal HP Primer on vertical substrates and should be covered promptly with screed or similar protection after installation to prevent exposure. It conforms to BS 8485 and BS 8102, with testing to EN ISO 15105-1 for gas transmission.

FAQ
What is Solsheet GR used for?
General waterproofing with gas protection in basements, retaining walls, car parks, subways, lift shafts and similar substructures.
Does it protect against Radon and Methane?
Yes. The backing film suppresses Radon, Methane, CO₂ and hydrocarbon vapours; performance is assessed to EN ISO 15105-1.
Do I need a primer?
Yes. Prime vertical surfaces with Solseal HP Emulsion/Primer before application. Horizontal surfaces typically do not require primer when the membrane is covered by screed or a slab.
Can I leave it exposed?
No. After installation, cover as soon as possible with a cementitious screed or similar protective layer.
What gas transmission performance does it achieve?
Indicative rates: CH₄ < 10 ml/m²/day and CO₂ < 10 ml/m²/day (single layer and joint) to ISO 15101-5.
