FAQ
What is the difference between standard DPM and gas-resistant membrane?
The gas-resistant version (like Solsheet GR) includes layers and barriers to suppress gases such as Radon, Methane, CO₂. Standard Solsheet SAM is primarily for moisture / water proofing, not gas protection.
Is the membrane self-adhesive?
Yes. Solsheet SAM has a self-adhesive bitumen layer, with a release liner for installation. Surface must be suitably prepared and primed.
Does it require priming?
Yes - surfaces should be primed using Solseal HP Primer, especially for rough or porous substrates, to guarantee adhesion of the membrane.
Can I use this membrane outside or exposed to weather?
It should not remain exposed long term. Once laid, protect with screed, concrete or other cover as provided in the specification.
