Next Day Steel uses a dynamic bulk discount system that automatically applies discounts based on the combined weight of mesh and rebar products in your basket. The more you buy, the more you save—no negotiation required. Discounts calculate automatically at checkout, with the final discounted price displayed once all items are added. This weight-based pricing rewards larger orders with progressively better rates.

Next Day Steel operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm. Orders placed after the 1pm cutoff or on weekends ship the following working day.

Delivery & Shipping

Order by 1pm on any working day (Monday to Friday) for next day delivery to eligible areas. Orders placed after 1pm on Friday will be dispatched the following Monday. Handling time for next day orders is typically 1-2 hours.

Two delivery options are available:

Economy Delivery - £30: 2-4 working day delivery with handling times of 2-3 days

Next Day Delivery - £90: For orders placed before 1pm

For addresses over 80 miles from Enfield, London, an additional charge of £0.05 per mile and per kg applies. Total delivery costs display at checkout.

Next Day Steel provides express delivery nationwide across the UK. Next day delivery is available in most parts of mainland UK. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by weather, carrier availability, or other factors beyond control.

Standard deliveries arrive on flatbed lorries operated by delivery partners. Important: flatbed lorries do not have cranes for offloading—you must be able to unload the steel yourself. HIAB lorries (vehicles with loader cranes) are available on request for heavy structural steel. Contact customer service before ordering to arrange HIAB delivery.

Deliveries arrive between 7:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. No weekend or bank holiday deliveries are available. You can request a specific delivery date by adding a note to your order. A tracking link is emailed when your order is dispatched.

Yes, someone must be present to receive the order. If nobody is available at the delivery address, the order will be cancelled and delivery charges are non-refundable. Ensure adequate access and parking space for the delivery lorry.

Returns & Refunds

You have 14 days from receiving your order to notify Next Day Steel of your intention to return items. After notification, you have an additional 14 days to physically return the items—giving a maximum total of 28 days from receipt.

Items must be unused and in sellable condition, returned in their original state. Products that have been cut, bent, or modified cannot be returned.

No. Custom-made items including cut and bent rebar, bespoke products, and personalised items are not eligible for returns or refunds. Only standard stock items in original condition can be returned.

The customer is responsible for arranging and paying return shipping costs. Original delivery charges from your order are non-refundable and will be deducted from any refund amount.

Once returned items are received and inspected, you'll receive a notification email. Refunds are processed and credited to your original payment method within 5-7 working days. If you don't receive your refund, check with your bank or credit card company first, as posting times vary.

Exchanges are only available for defective or damaged items and must be exchanged for the same product. Contact sales@nextdaysteel.co.uk with your order number and details of the defect.

Reinforcement Mesh

Three series are available:

A-Series (Square Mesh): Identical wire diameters in both directions—A142, A193, A252, and A393

B-Series (Rectangular Mesh): Different longitudinal and cross wire diameters—B283, B385, B503, B785, and B1131

D49 Wrapping Mesh: 2.5mm wire for lighter applications

A-Series Mesh: Equal wire diameters and 200mm spacing in both directions. Ideal for general floor slabs and foundations requiring uniform reinforcement in all directions.

D49 mesh features 2.5mm wire and weighs 8.87kg per 4.8m × 2.4m sheet. It's designed for concrete floor reinforcement, floor screeding applications, and wrapping/detailing work. D49 complies with BS4483 and is ideal where lighter reinforcement is specified.

Structural Steel

All structural steel meets BS EN 10025 S275JR, the UK standard for structural steel. This grade offers excellent weldability and is suitable for welding, drilling, bolting, and further fabrication work.

Yes. All structural steel can be cut to your exact length requirements. Enter the required length in millimetres when ordering. Minimum order length is 100mm.

Two options are available:

Self-Colour (No Paint): Natural mill finish, ideal if you plan to paint, galvanise, or weld the steel yourself

Shotblast Painted: Red oxide primer coating applied after shot blasting for temporary corrosion protection during storage and installation

Heavy structural steel sections may require HIAB crane delivery for offloading. Contact the office before placing your order if you need crane assistance—standard flatbed deliveries do not include offloading equipment.

Ground Heave Protection

The range includes products from both Cordek and BEWI:

Hydrophilic water stop strips expand when in contact with water to create a watertight seal at construction joints. They are used between concrete pours to prevent water ingress through the joint.

Ventform is a passive gas venting and insulation panel made from expanded polystyrene (EPS). The 2400mm × 1200mm panels install beneath reinforced concrete floor slabs, creating ventilation channels that safely disperse VOCs, methane, and radon to perimeter vents.
