T10 Rebar - 10mm High Tensile Reinforcement Bar
Alternative Names: T10 Rebar, H10 Rebar, 10mm Rebar, 10mm Reinforcement Bar, 10mm Steel Bar, 10mm Reinforcing Bar, Reinforcing Steel, Steel Reinforcing Bar, High Tensile Rebar, High Tensile Steel Bar, Deformed Bar, Ribbed Bar, Ribbed Steel Bar, Concrete Reinforcing Bar, Groundworks Steel, Steel Rod, Straight Bar, Stock Bar, Ground Beam Steel, Foundation Bar, Slab Reinforcement Bar, BS4449 Rebar, CARES Approved Rebar
T10 rebar (also specified as H10) is a 10mm high-tensile ribbed bar manufactured to BS 4449:2005, Grade B500B. It bridges the gap between light fixing steel and full structural bar, giving designers a little more capacity than an 8mm section while staying easy to cut, bend and fix by hand. At 10mm it is still light enough to shape on site, which keeps fixing quick on smaller jobs while offering noticeably more strength than T8.
Typical applications
- Links and stirrups in larger beams and columns
- Ground beams and domestic strip, raft and pad foundations
- Bed-joint and blockwork reinforcement
- Renovation, extension and repair works
- Lightly loaded slabs and steps

T10 rebar: frequently asked questions
What is T10 rebar used for?
T10 (10mm) high-tensile rebar is used for links and stirrups, ground beams and domestic strip, raft and pad foundations. The ribbed profile bonds the bar to the concrete so the two work together under load.
What does the T in T10 mean, and is it the same as H10?
The T stands for high-tensile (high-yield) steel. T10, H10 and 10mm rebar all describe the same bar: Grade B500B deformed reinforcing bar to BS 4449:2005 with a 10mm nominal diameter.
How much does a T10 bar weigh?
A 3m T10 bar weighs 1.85 kg, and A 6m T10 bar weighs 3.7 kg. Nominal mass for 10mm bar is shown in the comparison table above.
How much does 10mm rebar cost?
T10 rebar starts from £4.63 + VAT per bar, with current per-length prices shown above. Bulk-buy discounts apply automatically as weight is added to the cart, and cut and bent shapes are priced from your bending schedule.
What standard is T10 rebar manufactured to?
Our 10mm bar is Grade B500B high-tensile ribbed rebar to BS 4449:2005, CARES approved with full mill traceability. (Reinforcement is certified through the CARES scheme rather than CE marking, as EN 10080 is not a harmonised standard.)
